is an annual dinner & gathering in celebration of the Institute Library.
The 2017 Book Plates brought newcomers, members, and special guests together in the 9th Square on Monday, April 3rd for food, fellowship, and fundraising in support of New Haven’s oldest independent lending library.
2017 Book Plates Restaurants & Special Guests
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal at a special 9th Square restaurant paired by a fascinating guest host. Dessert (provided by Lulu deCarrone and Eva Geertz) was served after dinner back at the Institute Library, along with coffee and cordials.
Local mandolin player Karen Hogg, a familiar face to many Library members, provided entertainment and artist George Corsillo (Design Monsters) with letterpress printer Jeff Mueller (Dexterity Press) created a limited-edition Book Plate as a gift to the evening’s guests. The featured authors signed books and as always, a specially-curated silent auction offered exciting items, experiences, and collectibles.
